Of Redemption and Eternal Rain

"Have I redeemed myself enough?" you asked one day. Seasons have changed, leaves wilted, and flowers grew anew. Yet somehow, every day’s been raining, and the sole of your shoes always got trapped in the mud. You wondered if you were destined to carry the guilt for the rest of your life, for it always seemed hard to untangle yourself from the haunting past.

"Have I redeemed myself enough?" you asked, and my answer would always be the same, classic: "I don't know." However, if you see the light at the end of the tunnel, would you mind going for it with me?
