Separated Sides of Coin

A girl in the corner was crouching,
The world is so cruel, she said while crying,
Her soul's longing to go, anywhere she couldn't be found.
For a house and a home to her isn't what to be called compound.

She longed to fly, far far away,
From the gilded cage to make her own way.

Yet she knew well, outside was a battlefield she couldn't face.

Thousand of miles apart, the innocents crowded,
Facing possibly the only fancy thing they've ever witnessed,
For a boy stood there, the words ringed so clear,
In his head was the final breath of his dear.

Pale and bedridden, she asked her precious one a compliance,
"Shall you become tired of learning, then bear thou the pain of ignorance."

And she knew so well, she had faced a battlefield others couldn't face.
